Private protection for a rail arrival in Zurich. A practical planning overview · read the full guide below

Identify the exact station

Write the full station name rather than simply Zurich. Include the service number, arrival date and expected time where available. If the visitor is changing trains or arriving at a different station from colleagues, explain that distinction so separate appointments are not accidentally treated as one group arrival. If the train has several destinations or portions, the traveller’s ticket information can help the organiser identify the correct arrival without guessing from a route name.

Keep meeting instructions simple

Agree a recognisable public meeting location and how the guest will identify the assigned professional. Platform information can change, so avoid presenting an unverified platform as a permanent instruction. The traveller should have the current contact details and know how to report a delay or a changed train. A guest who misses the planned train should send the replacement service details and obtain acknowledgement before expecting the same meeting time to remain valid.

Account for luggage and mobility

Describe the quantity of luggage and any assistance needs in advance. Personal protection is not automatically a luggage porter or mobility-assistance service. If specialist assistance is needed, arrange it with the appropriate provider and coordinate the handover so each person understands the duties they have actually accepted. If a companion handles luggage, include that person in the travelling party so the onward vehicle and meeting arrangements reflect who will actually be present.

Connect the next stage

Confirm the Zurich hotel, office or onward destination and any separately booked limousine. State whether the protection assignment continues through meetings or ends at a defined handover. The eight-hour minimum still applies, and additional activities within that period should be described in the agreed service brief. For a return rail journey later in the day, add it expressly to the itinerary rather than assuming the arrival booking also covers the departure.
