Hourly chauffeur or bodyguard in Zurich: choosing the right service. A practical planning overview · read the full guide below

Start with the actual requirement

If the main need is a vehicle available between Zurich appointments, explain the transport schedule and waiting requirements. If the request is for personal accompaniment and an agreed protective role, describe those duties separately. The word private in a vehicle booking does not itself mean personal protection has been included. A useful enquiry explains where the professional is expected to be while the principal is away from the vehicle.

Avoid assuming a dual role

A chauffeur’s responsibility for the vehicle can conflict with continuous accompaniment away from it. Do not assume the driver will also attend meetings or remain with the principal inside venues. Any request for a combined arrangement must be reviewed expressly, with the accepted responsibilities clear before the service is relied upon. The client should receive a clear answer before assuming that one person can fulfil two different duties at once.

Compare like-for-like quotations

Ask the offer to show the vehicle service and personnel service on separate lines, with their respective hours and conditions. Protection is CHF65 per guard per hour, minimum eight hours. A cheaper transport figure is not a comparable price for protection, and a guard subtotal does not include a limousine by default. Check that each quotation describes the same requested hours and activities before using it in a procurement price comparison.

Book the combination deliberately

If both services are needed, use one itinerary but retain distinct passenger, luggage and accompaniment requirements. Confirm the host’s access arrangements for the professional and the chauffeur’s pickup instructions. The final review should make it obvious which people are booked, which vehicle is requested and when each accepted service begins and ends. If the scope changes after selection, return to the service requirements instead of simply adding an ambiguous booking note.
